Hi Guys,
We’ve just updated this template today. It works with all browsers, it’s now fully tableless and the zip works fine. We’d love to have more feedback from you on this. Thanks for persisting.
Hey
I’m getting this error when installing on 1.5rc3
Fatal error: Call to a member function getTagName() on a non-object in /home/belmontc/public_html/libraries/joomla/installer/installer.php on line 1374
Fatal error: Call to a member function getTagName() on a non-object in /home/USERNAME/public_html/home/administrator/components/com_installer/installer.class.php on line 167
Im using midphase as my host…. joomla was installed for me by a script called fantastico. Not sure if any of that would be causing the problem, all esle works fine.
I am using higher grounds template and it has been going well but last night I updated it and now I can not submit articles through the front end. Does anybody know this problem???’
How do I get rid of ‘welcome to the front page’? The phrase doesn’t appear in index.php and I can’t find the content in Joomla. Firebug will show the phrase but doesn’t resave the index file once I’ve deleted it.
To get the menu to show up…go to modules and find topmenu. Reposition to mainmenu.
To get rid of the annoying message “Welcome to the Front Page” go to menus and find the “Home” Menu Item (I think it’s in mainmenu). Once you find the default “Home” menu item, nuke the title – or just choose not to display by selcting one of the menu items.
Ok…maybe that wasn’t clear. To get rid of the annoying message find the Home menu item and then you can nuke the title by selecting “paramaters-system” and nuke the title right there…
I’ve the same issue as Jan and Sjoerd did. Very disappointing. Meanwhile I sent an email to CMSLounge, will keep you posted if I get any feedback on the issue.
Is there an easy way to make the top menu a drop-down. I’ve tried several different ways and cannot get it to display properly. Any tips for how to make it look nice with a drop down?
another nice template i can’t install in rc3?
:-(
The easiest thing is to unpack the zip file and ftp it into your templates folder
you need to change an extenstion in the xml file from content-wrap.gif to content-wrap.jpg
It looks like crap in safari.

Im having the same problem. I quote:

How do I add menu items? I can get to see the front page and can add articles but no menu yet. please help me. thx!
Junheax, you need to assign menu to position “user1″. See instructions that come with this template.
Ted
I think God approves of you.

A little more information. The error I get is Error 403. Request forbidden
I’ve got my main menu in position user1 – but its not displaying – please confirm this is the correct position to user for the main top menu
Also, hows does one go about changing the ‘higherground’ and ‘put your site slogan here…’ text?
Re: main menu
It’s not working for me :-(
Regarding slogan:
Edit your index.php file (/templates/tem_highergrounds/) search for the text you want to change ;)
thanks for the slogan tip, worked like a charm – also god the main menu working: user the position mainmenu :)
Nice template, but i have experienced following problem-
JInstaller::install: File ‘C:\wamp\www\templates\highergrounds\html\com_content\article\form.php’ does not exist
dont you know why is it so?
Thanks, Jan
How do I assign menu position?

Lovely template except for the pointless message…

I’m having trouble installing this template. I’m getting the error:
“ERROR: Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.”
Under Site Templates, I browsed to tem_highergrounds.zip and it gave me that error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Great template, but have a look at the search results. Anyway to fix the wonky formatting? Thanks!
I’m having still having trouble getting the main menu to work.
I looked in /public_html/modules/ for a file called topmenu but I didn’t see anything.
Could this be because of the way I installed the template. All I did was copied over all of the files to the /public_html/templates/ directory.
Hi,
I got the same problem Jan mentioned above.
JInstaller::install: File ‘C:\wamp\www\templates\highergrounds\html\com_content\article\form.php’ does not exist
Is there a easy fix? love the simplicity of this template but getting it to work.. ;)
cheers,
Sjoerd

Is there any way to remove the right hand side menu so that the main content fills the entire width of template?
I’ve the same issue as Jan and Sjoerd did. Very disappointing. Meanwhile I sent an email to CMSLounge, will keep you posted if I get any feedback on the issue.
Use FTP instead of zip file unpacking… and it worked. The support from CMSLounge is quick, and helpful. I am very impressed. Good luck all.
Hi, thanks for template. Real nice, installed no problem.
Im getting an invalid token error when i try to save a document from the front end? Any ideas welcome
So am I, but i also get this problem one 2 or three other templates..but not all???
Sorry So am i Fish

I’m having a problem with the text in IE. It won’t look ‘normal’ the body text is the same size and colour as the heading. Any Ideas?
