I dl’d this template and selected it and many of the pieces are missing – they are in the source file and the Trentco images folder that I downloaded but they are not showing up on the actual page I am putting together.

I have drupal 5 and this does not work :( It does not show everything correctly :( Perhaps it could be a combination of missing files or miscode???

Theme has been updated. Now includes a version for Drupal 6, and fixes for the Drupal 5 version. Enjoy!
In page.tpl.php, this:
$base_path.’themes/trentco/images/
needs to be replaced by this:
$base_path.$directory.’/images/
The former assumes that you put your themes in the main /themes/ folder, which is bad practice. It is better to put your themes in /sites/all/themes/. Drupal knows where your theme is, and that’s the path that is held in the $directory variable.

It needs fixes for IE6. I’ve done it in week! But anyway I love It!

I’m upgrading a site to work in Drupal 6, and found I needed a tweak to remove an error message: on line 2 of page.tpl.php, replace this:
print $language
with this:
print $language->language
It appears twice on that line.

nicely done, mannequin.
None of my users can access creating content. It seems permissions are correctly set. Clicking the link to create content only goes back to the home page. They can get there if they manually enter the link “http://www.avalonreview.com/?q=node/add”, and none of the users can see the FCKeditor in Trentco. There are none of these problems in Garland. We like the Trentco template.
hey there catmandu. sorry to say but, i had this issue too.
it is just that the trentco template is not completely fixed for 1.5, module positions and everything are abit confusing. registering users, logging in/ out retrieve password, all does not appear properly.
I suggest you create your site using another template because the possibilities with this template is quite limited.

you have to go to Site building > Blocks and then make sure that your “Primary Links” are in your Header, they are not selected by default.
Does anyone know how to add text to the front page? My site is http://www.johannesvinke.nl
The 1st page only shows the big picture, but no text or white block.

I’d like to activate something like a “short news” module to randomly appear on the right side, instead of the user login form you suggested on the printscreen above.

This doesn’t work well for me either. Installed, but images are not showing up using Drupal 5.20
Images now show up using David’s bug fix of “$base_path.$directory.’/images/”
